This is a Phenominal book telling the truth about life in the Mob's world. I completely enjoyed it the writer told a fascinating story of life and reality. In a world we all don't see daily.

This book is like having an insider view of a fascinating time in history- while the reader becomes engaged in the family story. It’s true crime in an old world, and everyone has their heroes. Mine is the author, who did such great work on research! I enjoyed the pictures, too. An excellent read for the pool and beach.

The backdrop of Prohibition-era San Francisco is vividly realised, and the references to bootlegging operations, corruption, and the rise of Black Hand activities add depth and credibility. What I appreciated most was how seamlessly these broader historical elements were woven into Mary’s personal experience, making the narrative both informative and emotionally engaging. By the end, I was left reflecting on the hidden lives behind historical events.
